The consumption of some food can help worms enter our body and stay there for a long period. This can cause different health problems since the parasites can get into the brain and lead to even more severe health issues.

The infection, known as neurocysticercosis most often occurs in Latin America, Africa, and China. It cannot be said that some people are not in danger of getting it because pork is distributed all around the world.

Worms and parasites can stay in the body for up to 50 years without causing any difficulties. However, they secrete toxins and the body has to fight it. The toxin accumulation in the body increases and what’s more, it blocks the absorption of nutrients. There are drugs that can cure the infection, but surgery is the treatment most people get.
