Your body works best when slightly alkaline, but when your body pH is too acidic, you are much more susceptible to a wide range of diseases, including cancer. Fortunately, we’re here to help you test your pH!
First, the negative consequences of too acidic a body pH:
- Obesity, slow metabolism and inability to lose weight
- Chronic inflammation
- High blood pressure
- Weight gain, obesity and diabetes
- Bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney stones
- Weakened immunity
- Premature aging
- Osteoporosis, weak or brittle bones, fractures and bone spurs.
- Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic-acid buildup
- Low energy and chronic fatigue
- Mood swings
- Slow digestion and elimination
- Yeast/fungal overgrowth
According to Keiichi Morishita, author of Hidden Truth of Cancer, body pH has everything to do with cancer and other body issues. A healthy body works less well at a pH below 6.4, and the pH of cancer patients (as taken by testing urine and saliva samples) is almost always, he says, between 4 and 5.5.
Fortunately, testing your own pH balance is pretty easy. Just use the following steps:
- Pick up a packet of pH test strips. If you can’t find them anywhere locally, they can easily be ordered online.
- Test your pH at the same time each morning. (Body pH tends to be more acidic first thing, so consistency is important.)
- We recommend testing your urine when you first get up.
- Saliva testing requires either testing first thing, or waiting until at least two hours after eating. When testing your saliva, allow your mouth to fill with spit, then swallow that saliva. Only after you’ve done that should you place saliva on the pH spit – this helps ensure your spit is clean.
- For both urine and saliva, you’re hoping to work your way toward a pH between 6.5 and 7.5.
- Modify your diet as needed, and keep in mind that stress also affects pH. Add deep breathing and meditation to a healthy diet, and drink plenty of water, and you should see the changes pay off in your pH tests!
