  • Deodorize your mattress

In order to clean your mattress and to get rid of that unpleasent smell, just sift baking soda over your mattress, leave it for about 30 minutes and then vacuum it up.  It will help you deodorize any odors you may smell because it is a natural deodorizer. You can also add five drops of essential oil into toe baking soda and you will enjoy a nice scent for several nights thereafter.

  • Spot cleaning and strains

Usually, only protein stains like sweat, urine, blood and vomit end up on your mattress.

To remove the stain, take a wet cloth and use a pressing motion rather than a circular motion. Soak the cloth in cold water. The mixture of salt, baking soda and water is the best solution for removing stains. All you need to do is to create a paste with equal parts of these ingredients and rub it on the are and brush it of 30 minutes later. In the end, soak a cloth in cold water and remove the excess and then allow the matress to dry.

  • Vacuum your mattress

It is very effective because it will remove dust, dead skin cells and other debris that lies on your mattress. Make sure to vakuum everytime you rotate your mattress or once a season.

  • No water on your mattresses

Do not pour liquids on your mattress because they get trapped in it and has nowhere to go.

  • Use fans to dry the mattress

Use your fan to dry the mattress before sleeping on it.

  • Turn and/or flip your mattress

Do this at the turn of every season.
