How does earwax buildup in your ear? Earwax does block your ear. But when you try to remove it using cotton swabs or ear buds, you end up pushing the wax deeper inside. Those you use ear plugs also do the same. Those using earphones regularly are also at a risk of ear wax build up. So rather than removing it, you are causing it to accumulate.

Natural remedies to remove it

It is important to clear all the ear wax in your ear. Otherwise it can create problems. It is also necessary to avoid ear buds and cotton swabs.

 

Saline solution:  mix one tsp of salt in half cup of water. Take a cotton ball, dip it in the solution and pour a few drops in your ear. Tilt your head to one side while doing this. Let the solution seep into your ear. It will soften the wax. Now, tilt your head the other way. Remove the wax using a tissue paper.

 

Paraffin oil: take paraffin oil and heat it. Pour a few drops in your ear. Let it stay for a few minutes. Rinse it with warm water. Do it for three days. Your ear will be free of wax. The oil is easily available in pharmacies.

 

Hydrogen peroxide: buy a commercial hydrogen peroxide (3%). Mix it with equal parts of water. Add a few drops to your ear and leave it on for a few minutes. Tilt your head in the opposite side to let it all out.

 

Glycerin: buy it from a local pharmacy and pour a few drops in your ear. It will soften the wax and remove it from your ear easily.

 

Vinegar and alcohol solution: mix vinegar and alcohol in equal amounts. Add a few drops to your ear using a cotton ball.

 

Olive oil: put a few drops into your ear. Let it stay overnight. Sleep in the opposite direction so that it stays in your ear. Rinse it the next morning. Repeat for 3-4 days.
