Most people don’t want the fat bulges. They make us look bad, our clothes don’t fit us anymore, our thighs jiggle, and no matter how hard we try to remove it, it stays. Too much fat can also be dangerous in terms of health. It can cause some conditions like diabetes type 2, or heart disease, and this is one of the many reasons researchers try to find way for getting rid of it.
There are two types of fat: white fat and brown fat. Knowing the difference between the two can help us in losing weight. White fat is a layer of blubber on the belly, the thighs and the back of the arms. It serves as a thermal insulator and maintains the body temperature.
Exposure to cold can cause fat cell death
The more you’re exposed to the cold, the less obesity troubles you have and you keep the weight off by turning on the brown fat. The researchers suggest that you should turn down the thermostat in the winter for a few hours if you want to lose some weight.
